Etnia Barcelona is inspired by Klimt’s art for his FW18 campaign

New chapter for the global campaign of the Spanish brand of sunglasses and eyeglasses

The art world as an inspiration for advertising campaigns that want to invite their public to authenticity, but also to pay attention to the details that routine often prevents us from seeing. This is the idea behind the Anartist manifesto by Etnia Barcelona, a Spanish brand of sunglasses and eyeglasses that for Autumn Winter 2018/2019 is inspired by the concept “The art of details” and takes as a reference point the symbolist art of Gustav Klimt. After reinterpreting classic works by authors such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Raffaello, for the next season the Spanish brand is measured with the symbolism of the end of the nineteenth century by Klimt.

In the images of the campaign, taken once again by the photographer Biel Capllonch, we hide details that challenge our gaze: when we find them, we can not stop observing them, they shine like the gold of Klimt. Also stands out the use of common and simple elements such as microchips, cables, motherboards or hard disks that transmit to the viewer our desire to democratize art, because we can all be artists, or rather, Anartists – as the brand poster wants .

For this season Etnia Barcelona presents a total of 75 novelties – 40 models and 35 sunglasses models – that highlight the details more than ever: delicate frames with clear details, unique color combinations, subtle shapes in both acetate and metal. a clear reflection of the brand’s DNA.

From the point of view of color, this season’s collection is inspired by three key trends, which Etnia Barcelona used to create the transparency of the glasses for this launch, with 76 new color combinations:
Street Details follows the most urban trend: murals, textures, manholes, railings, stripes …
Flashing Lights is the most futuristic trend, inspired by films like Blade Runner. The fluo colors are combined with structures like flashes, crimson colors, pixels …
Pure Nature is the most ethnic trend close to nature, with the colors of the earth and the textures of stones and plants, natural and balanced colors.

The new collection of Etnia Barcelona is like a painting by Klimt, you have to observe it well to understand that these are much more than just glasses. The colors and shapes studied in detail, the pure materials, the unique textures and the mineral lenses transform them into a work of art. Because we know that the details make the difference and that art brings us closer to the truth, pushing us to be ourselves.
