Tennis is the inspiration for the Z Zegna summer collection, which on the occasion of Pitti Uomo also unveils the official face, namely the German Alexander Zverev, the youngest tennis player to be ranked among the top 20 of the ATP ranking, reaching the third placed in the world ranking. Combining sportswear with the elegance of tailoring, the spring / summer 2019 collection refers to the atmosphere of a Wimbledon game: models are paraded through games of colors and graphic elements. The focus is on the fabric, the Techmerino Wash & Go, thermal and waterproof wool, which we find in unstructured jackets, bomber jackets, raincoats and trousers with drawstring. A refined line for the sports lover but also for those looking for a casual-chic style for everyday life. The color palette ranges from cobalt to red for Techmerino, and from yellow to white for wool, enriched by the new vertical band and the iconic TM logo of Techmerino inspired by the Zegna Archive.
The volumes of the clothes designed by Alessandro Sartori are soft, superimposed on light and deconstructed shapes, with blazers and wide shorts, to be worn with branded technical leggings. The peculiarity of the new collection lies in the finish of the fabrics that allows the clothes to maintain their shape even after being worn for several hours, ideal for sports but also for everyday life.
We could not miss the reference to tennis in accessories: visors, cuffs, bands in Techmerino and the new CAULERA sneakers, dedicated to the tennis court built in 1956 by Ermenegildo Zegna, in the homonymous village of the Oasi Zegna.
