We had announced the Tommy x Lewis collection in mid-March when no leaks were leaked. We only wronged the order of the addends. Moreover, the strong agreement between the British driver four times Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton and the casual label Tommy Hilfilger was palpable since the end of February with the announcement of the sponsorship of the Mercedes AMG Team Petronas Motorsport by the American brand in quality of Official Apparel Partner. All organized by Hamilton who would have been appointed global ambassador of the brand for the Tommy Hilfiger men’s collection.

So Tommy, the designer, and Lewis, the pilot, have decided to join forces on the work table by creating the collaborative collection Tommy X Lewis. We will see it on the shelves only in the autumn of 2018. Meanwhile, on 11 April, to expand its range of action and connect with the next generation of consumers, the American designer organized an event in Shanghai relaunched the following day on the JD portal .com that involved the amazing fun base of 26 million users.

During the Shanghai event, the TommyXLewis flag was presented in an artistic installation characterized by the same inspirations at the base of the collection: to attract attention the street art influences and the projections of Lewis Hamilton tattoos. The Tommy x Lewis logo pays tribute to the iconic Tommy Hilfiger flag, placed behind Lewis Hamilton’s initials in navy blue: a shade that reflects both the colors of the brand, such as the ink used for the British pilot’s tattoos. The collection will offer clothing, shoes, accessories, underwear and socks.
