Berluti, Kris Van Assche is the new creative director

His emotion, the intentions for the future and the debut date on the catwalk for the brand

«I have always wanted to build bridges between savoir faire, the tradition of a brand and my very contemporary way of seeing fashion», explains Belgian designer Kris Van Assche commenting hotly on the news that he wants to the artistic direction of Berluti after the exiting, in recent days, by Haider Ackermann. «Antoine Arnault told me about his ambitions regarding the maison and, thanking him for the trust placed in me, it is really with great pleasure that I accept a challenge that marries my desires as much as my vision», continues the stylist, who from today will take care of Berluti fashion from ready-to-wear to accessories (with debut on the runway next January).

«I’ve known Kris Van Assche for years: I admired what Dior did and I’m looking forward to working with him,” the CEO of the maison replies with equal enthusiasm.
