Kris Van Assche leaves Dior Homme, Kim Jones arrives

After 11 years of collaboration with Dior, Kris Van Assche leaves the role of creative director of the Homme line. Kim Jones former artistic director of Louis Vuitton man, will take its place

After 11 years as Artistic Director of Dior Homme’s men’s line, Kris Van Assche leaves the French fashion house, Kim Jones, the former artistic director of Louis Vuitton, will join her, joining Maria Grazia Chiuri, responsible for the women’s line in 2016.

“I thank Kris Van Assche for his contribution to the wonderful growth of Dior Homme, for creating an elegant and contemporary masculine silhouette,” said Christian Dior Couture president and CEO Pietro Beccari, reports Business of Fashion.

“After 11 years in Dior Homme my mind and my heart are full of experiences, I am leaving this house to take on new challenges”, added the fashion designer, thanking Berbard Arnault, Sidney Toledano and Serge Brunschwig. In a statement written by Dior, it should be noted that Van Assche will continue to work in the LVMH group with a role that will be announced shortly, while it seems that Kim Jones will present the first collection for Dior Homme next June.
